In what might be the best case of the Monday’s ever, Star Wars has revealed the main cast of the Obi-Wan Kenobi series, set to premiere on Disney +.

Not to be lost in the casting news, it was also revealed that production on the series is slated to start in April, although a release date is currently unknown.

Joining Ewan McGregor’s Obi-Wan Kenobi, is Hayden Christensen who is making his big return to the franchise as the dark lord of the Sith, Darth Vader. Also making their return to a galaxy far, far, away, are Tatooine’s favorite aunt and uncle, Bonnie Piesse as aunt Beru and Joel Edgerton as uncle Owen.

New cast members include Moses Ingram, known for her role as Jolene in the critically-acclaimed Netflix series, The Queen’s Gambit, Game of Thrones and Luther actress, Indira Varma and newly-minted superhero, Kumail Nanjiani, who can be seen in the upcoming MCU film, The Eternals.

Rounding up the announced cast are O’Shea Jackson Jr. (Straight Out of Compton), Rupert Friend (Homeland), Sung Kang (Fast and the Furious franchise), and Benny Safdie (Uncut Gems).

Set 10 years after the events of Revenge of the Sith, Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi will have to come to terms with his failure to Anakin Skywalker while looking over Anakin’s son, Luke Skywalker in the desert planet of Tatooine. Little else is known of the special event series although fan speculation is at an all time high.

This casting announcement is sure to add fire to the flames. Will Satine Kryze make an appearance and where is Commander Cody?
