A new trailer for The Bad Batch, Star Wars newest animated series was released today in anticipation of the series premiere on May the 4th on Disney Plus.
We are re-introduced to The Bad Batch, a foursome of “malfunctioning” clones, Hunter, Tech, Wrecker, and Crosshair, who help rescue and brought into the fold , the lost clone Echo during season 7 of The Clone Wars.
The trailer starts with the group in a training arena test ordered by A New Hope baddie, Governor Tarkin. Other familiar faces include Fennec Shand, who was briefly glimpsed in the original trailer, Saw Guerrera, and everyone’s (at least mine) clone, Captain Rex.
It looks like Clone Force 99 (The Bad Batch) returns to their origins as we see the planet of Kamino, home of the cloning facilities used during the Clone Wars. There the group meets a seemingly innocent child, that knows who they are and ends up leaving with the team.
Full plot details are still under wraps but we hear Tarkin asking for the Bad Batch to be eliminated so we can expect the newly formed Empire to be hot on their trails. Reports are that the first episode has a duration of 70 minutes.
