Today, the Star Wars website gave us a glimpse at Phase I, Wave II of The High Republic with breakdowns of forthcoming titles.

The article covers comics, audio dramas, and novels on the golden age of the Jedi as we move past the introduction of The High Republic and what’s next after the Jedi saved the day during The Great Disaster and the inauguration of Starlight Beacon, chancellor’s Lina Soh, outreach program.

Main highlights for me include the follow-up to the events of Light of the Jedi with Cavan Scott’s adult novel, The Rising Storm. Lina Soh continues to expand on her message of unity and plans a showcase of what peace may look like in an expanding Republic with The Republic Fair. Jedi Elzar Mann, Bell Zettifar, and Stellan Gios join as ambassadors of harmony, while Marchion Ro and The Nihil prepare to bring down the spirit of unity.

According to Star Wars, the Jedi will come face to face with a fear that even the Force cannot shield them from. Release date June 29, 2021.

Another highlight is Justina Ireland Young Adult Novel, Out of the Shadows that bring together some of my favorite Jedi of the era. Vernestra Rwoh, Imri Cantaros, Master Cohmac Vitus and Reath Silas are summoned to Coruscant.

Out of the Shadows introduces us to cargo pilot (at least I think she’s the pilot) Sylvestry Yarrow, who is trying to keep the family business afloat while having to deal with increasing debt and constant Nihil attacks. Her and the Jedi are brought together by familial politics in the Republic’s capital.

Out of the Shadows comes out July 22, 2021.

The main article also covers The High Republic comic #6, Daniel Jose Older’s Race to Crashpoint Tower, Cavan Scott’s Audio Novel, Tempest Runner, and more.
