D+ Day: Andor Special Look

Star Wars fans woke up to a special treat as Disney Plus Day started with a special look at the upcoming Andor TV series.

The 10 minute video (link below) includes a conversation with showrunner Tony Gilroy and lead actor Diego Luna discussing the idea behind the show and how we’ll see Cassian Andor transform from a loner to the rebellion leader we meet in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

One of the interesting reveals during this short behind-the-scenes look, was how series composer Nicholas Brittell was on set directing music as the scenes unfolded, giving the actors a more atmospheric feeling when they were shooting.

Apart from the behind-the-scenes moments, the special gives fans that weren’t able to attend the recent Rogue One IMAX screenings, an extended clip that was originally shown at the movie theaters. The clip is a longer version of the one already available that sees Cassian being recruited by Luthen Rael, played by Stellan Skarsgård. Andor has no intentions of joining Luthen but after being ambushed by security forces, he has no choice but to escape with the mysterious Luthen.

The special ends with another trailer, similar to the main trailer but includes a few additional scenes.

Andor premieres on Disney Plus on September 21st with the first three episodes available on drop day.
